In tennis, what is a pusher?

In tennis, the word “pusher” is used to describe someone who just keeps hitting the ball back without ever going for his/her shots and playing aggressively. A “pusher” plays with the mentality that if he keeps getting the ball back, eventually their opponent will make a mistake and he will win the point from that mistake. “Pushers” can be very frustrating for people to play against.
